The research fields of the group are in the area of protein and metabolic engineering, structural and functional proteomics.

The areas of research include proteins involved in drug metabolism, bioremediation, bioenergetics, biocatalysis, food biochemistry, protein-based biosensors, enzymology, microbial metabolism, protein structure-function, protein rational design and directed evolution, bioconversions.
